Musical Baton
Hey, thanks Gerrit for passing me the stick, now it’s finally my turn to convince the world of my incredibly good taste of music :) I’ll do it in english since the questions are in english, and I can practice a little bit…
Total Volume of Music Files on My Computer
A few gigs of correctly tagged music in iTunes. With Covers. I know I’m a pedant, and it was a lot of work, too, but I like to have my music sorted so I can find it. I’ve heared every song at least once (smart playlists are great!), and delete everything that I don’t like :)
The Last CD I Bought
Hard question, and I honestly can’t remember the last physical CD I bought. Propably Morcheeba’s “Charango” or “Neon Golden” by the Notwist. CDs get ripped into iTunes once and collect dust for the rest of their lifetime.
Last Music I bought online: Beth Gibbons & Rustin Man. There are three live bonus tracks for the “Out of Season” masterpiece they made. You can buy them seperately for 0.99€ each at iTunes, if you already own the album. If you don’t, then spend 9,99€ at the whole thing!
Last LP I bought was actually today. Yes, I’m one of these “it sounds better”-Nerds. It really does. I wanted to buy Maxïmo Park’s “A certain Trigger” that some very credible reviewers hype currently. I didn’t buy it – not because I didn’t like it (I listened to it too biefly to judge it fairly, though I won’t give it a 10/10), but instead I saw – and bought – a copy of what I consider last year’s best album by far: “Antics” by Interpol. Listen to the whole album, instead of single songs, it will blow your mind.
Song Playing Right Now
Selig – Knocking on heaven’s door. A cover version, but a good one.
Five Songs I Listen to A Lot
Ok, a little selection of the most often played songs according to iTunes:
- Promoe – These walls don’t lie
And a lot of Interpol appears in my top played Songs, but I already told you about them :-)
5 People to Whom I’m Passing the Baton
- Dominik, so he has something to write about in his new blog (and he has quite good taste in music, too)
- Martin, I dont’t know if he does these kind of things, but I’m really interested in what he listens to.
- René, because I know he likes to blog about music
- Tobias, although I don’t know him, i know that he likes top-5-lists and music
- Tilo, since he reads this blog but not my emails and I still hope he tells me what the 19-9er in San Francisco is, and why I have to get there…
When do you travel to the USA? ;)
